Novozymes hires Dow director as CEO

Chairman of the board of directors Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen said: “Ester is an experienced international leader with a very strong track-record within transformational change and driving profitable growth.
“Her ability to set the direction and operate in an R&D-driven environment together with her passion for the sustainability gender maker her a great fit for Novozymes.”
Ester is the current president for manufacturing solutions provider Dow Industrial Solutions, after joining the company in 1995 as an engineer. Over the years she has held manufacturing, technical,ss commercial and strategic roles in the company.
She is also an ambassador for STEM (an organization that recruits volunteers from science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs), and an active proponent of WIN (the Women’s Innovation Network), whose mission is to create equal career development opportunities between the sexes and improve gender diversity.
Ms Baiget said: “I am looking so much forward to joining Novozymes – a company with a very strong purpose and an impressive product portfolio that bodes well for the future. Her position will commence from February 1, 2020, and will succeed current president/CEO Peder Holk Nielsen.
