ITRI, Xplova, Everest Textile team up on digital fitness

The agreement is between Xplova, Everest Textile and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (headquartered in Taiwan, ITRI developed iStiumUweaR). Together, the companies intend to promote applications in the smart sports sector.
Under the memorandum of understanding, each party will bring its respective strengths to the collaboration. ITRI has developed iStimUweaR, which was a CES 2020 Innovation Award honoree. Everest Textile, a major supplier to sports brands including Nike, Decathlon, Lululemon and The North Face, will produce innovative textile products such as smart garments and accessories for cyclists.
Xplova can combine these products with its smart devices and technology platform to collect data and provide feedback.
“This strategic cooperation forges a seamless supply chain. It joins the efforts of a technology innovator, a textile manufacturer and a smart sport training system architect,” said ITRI president Edwin Liu.
