T2T nylon among Everest’s textile advances
Taiwanese textile maker Everest has created a nylon recycled from post-consumer textiles, which it will present at the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) in mid-October.
The Ever LoopNylon system handles blended fibres, dyes and additives - overcoming traditional recycling obstacles - and allows textiles to be reused, achieving a closed-loop recycling system in its truest form, said the company.
Everest’s Short Fibre Division has also introduced rEM2, a modified recycled polyester that can be dyed at 98 degrees celcius, which is 20–30 degrees lower than conventional PET. It reduces dye consumption and shortens the dyeing process but maintains colourfastness performance while cutting carbon emissions, it said.
RE:NEO is made from 100% recycled PET bottle yarn, integrating a waterproof-breathable membrane in a water-repellent fabric, delivering protection and comfort even in extreme weather conditions. It has won three awards: the 2025 iF Design Award, C-IDEA Award and Red Dot Design Award.
TITAS takes place in Taipei between October 14 and 16.
