Demand for Chinese-made garments up 51.7%
According to data recently released by China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC), global demand for Chinese-made garments increased by 51.7% on the previous year between January and April 2021.
Clothing valued at around $44.41 billion was exported to the rest of the world over this four-month period, GAC said.
Similarly, China’s export of textile yarn, fabrics and related products rose by 18% year on year, rising to around $44 billion.
