Anta recreates Beijing 2022 gear launch at Jinjiang sports and footwear expo
The twenty-third China (Jinjiang) International Footwear exposition and the sixth International Sports Industry expo is currently underway in the city of Jinjiang (well-known for producing shoes and home to local brands such as Anta) in China’s south-eastern Fujian province.
The 60,000-square-metre exhibition area, newly opened, is currently home to more than 2,300 booths and is divided into three main areas: finished footwear and sporting goods, footwear materials and machinery, local media said.
A complementary cloud-enabled platform based on big data, virtual reality (VR) and live e-commerce has also furthered the expos’ reach beyond Jinjiang.
Significantly, Chinese media have reported that Anta’s pavilion (pictured) seemed to be visitors’ “focus” on the first day, owing in part to the brand’s recreation of the Shanghai scene against which it officially launched its 2022 Winter Olympics (or Beijing 2022) athletic gear - featuring the Chinese flag for the first time - last July.
The Anta- and Olympics-branded space highlighted Beijing 2022-licensed sportswear, in addition to running shoes worn by participants in the Xiamen Marathon earlier in April.
