Xinjiang-made ski suits chosen for Team China
Local media have reported that ski suits made in Xinjiang will be worn by the Chinese cross-country ski team at domestic and international events.
The suits are also “expected” to be worn by Team China at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, though Anta Sports has been the official apparel partner for Beijing 2022 since being appointed in 2017.
Xinjiang Habahe Yaju Bedding, which specialises in camel hair products, has already started production of the camel hair ski suits, which are branded with the Team China logo and have been successfully tested in minus 40 degrees Celsius temperatures, as well as against “strong winds”. Natural camel hair can withstand harsh temperatures of up to minus 40 degrees Celsius.
The ski suits “unanimously” beat out competition from “world-renowned sports brands” when selected by the Chinese General Administration of Sport’s medical safety protection department and athletes, local media said.
