WSA magazine’s Dialogue series of interviews with interesting industry figures features Gavin Thompson in the November-December issue. The article is now available to read on sportstextiles.com.

In the course of the conversation, Mr Thompson, the vice-president for corporate citizenship at outdoor brand Canada Goose, explains why the North and the people and wildlife who live there matter so much to the company.

Examples include Project Atigi, an initiative through which Canada Goose has worked with designers representing communities across the four Inuit regions of the country to create bespoke and unique parkas using their traditional skills and designs.

Mr Thompson also talks about the brand’s support of polar bear conservation projects. He expresses concern that dwindling sea ice and global warming are threatening “these great creatures of the North”.
