Eurojersey publishes first ‘Footprint Report’
The maker of Sensitive-branded fabrics launched a programme in 2007 to help it map and reduce water, energy and chemicals as well as emissions and waste.
Among the achivements listed, it says between 2017 and 2019, it reduced the carbon footprint impact of 1 square-metre of dyed fabric by 5%, and 1 square-metre of printed fabric by 24%.
The company said that the results obtained in 2020, through its SensitivEcoSystem programme, are intended as an “invitation to maintain an open dialogue and collaboration” with supply chain partners.
Andrea Crespi, general manager of Eurojersey, said: “The ‘how’ we produce is even more important than the ‘what’ we produce.”
