Bacterial management solutions provider Noble Biomaterials has announced a new antimicrobial and anti-odour treatments for fabrics, Ionic+ Botanical.

This new formulation uses renewable, citrus-based technology which is pending approval from the US’s Environmental Protection Agency. It will withstand 50 wash cycles, the technology provider said. 

Founder and chief commercial officer, Joel Furey, said on making the announcement that Noble wanted to make a clear distinction between mineral-based permanent technology for use in products designed for a long lifecycle, including re-commerce, and bio-based technology that will reduce the amounts of water and energy required to care for the garments.
