TNF Korea is ‘number one’ for tenth year running
For the tenth consecutive year, South Korean brand valuation consultancy BrandStock has awarded outdoor brand The North Face (TNF) its highest ranking in the fashion category as part of the firm’s annual BrandStock Top Index (BSTI) list of the “top 100” companies in Korea.

Distributed locally by Seoul-based manufacturer Youngone Outdoor, TNF officially launched in the domestic market in 1997. Its latest ranking is based on BrandStock’s own simulated trading data for what the latter considers to be the 1,000 most representative brands operating in the country across 230 sectors in total, with 70% of each score based on what it calls “brand stock index” calculations. The auditor’s “consumer survey index” findings make up the remaining 30% of its valuations.

A brand representative contrasted the consistency of its decade-strong BSTI ranking with the ever-changing nature of trends and increased segmentation within the South Korean market over the past decade, citing design-led product differentiation, technological innovation and “sincere” marketing strategies as key contributing factors behind how the company had managed to remain "number one" for ten years running.

Youngone unveiled TNF outerwear made with its new Eco Heat Down insulation back in October.
