Gore-Tex’s Pitti Uomo show lands in Seoul
The developer of Gore-Tex fabric membranes, W. L. Gore & Associates, has settled its From Past to Future exhibition in Seoul until November 21, following the display's initial launch at menswear trade show Pitti Immagine Uomo (Pitti Uomo) in Florence over the summer.

This time, local fashion retailer Musinsa’s indoor-outdoor shopping and cultural space Musinsa Terrace, located in the trendy Seongsu-dong neighbourhood, serves as backdrop for the showcase. At once retrospective and forward-looking, as its name suggests, the exhibition spotlights key technologies across apparel, footwear and accessories applications, emphasising Gore-Tex’s ties to sustainability by way of durability.

A new expanded polyethylene (ePE) membrane called ePE by Gore, first announced last autumn, started to reach the South Korean market earlier this season in a series of outdoor-friendly collections produced by domestic brands such as K2, Kolon Sport and BlackYak. The latter also collaborated with Gore-Tex on K-Gore in 2021.

Founded in 1958, US-based Gore officially established its Korean business in 1991.
