Yaqi gets China Wool Textile Association approval
China Wool Textile Association (CWTA) has responded favourably to an application submitted by woollen knitwear manufacturer Yantai Yaqi Textile (Yaqi) last October to attain CWTA research and development centre status. 

Barring any objections before February 28, the facility in question will be allowed to signify its technological “advantages” by including CWTA in its name. 

Established in 1997, the Shandong-based producer's customers include Target, H&M, American Eagle Outfitters, Zara, Giorgio Armani, Icicle, Mango, J Crew, C&A and Chico’s. According to its website, Yaqi sources its yarns from companies including Loro Piana, Südwolle-owned Biella Yarn and Ningbo Zhongxin Wool Textile. 

The manufacturer’s Shanghai design centre opened in 2007.
