GOTS celebrates 2022 achievements

The figures are contained it its annual report, which also highlights its first GOTS conference in Africa as well as new transparency and integrity criteria.
One major milestone for GOTS in 2022 was the launch of its first consumer-targeted marketing campaign, Say No to Greenwashing, Say Yes to GOTS. The effort led to a rise in industry inquiries, close to 30% more social media followers, and over half a million unique website visits.
GOTS managing director Claudia Kersten said: "In the last 20 years, together with all relevant stakeholders, we have continuously improved GOTS as a tool to solve sustainability related problems for the processing of organic fibres, constantly striving toward our vision of a future in which organic textiles are a significant part of everyday life, enhancing people's lives and the environment.
