US apparel group Ralph Lauren Corporation has reported flat revenues of $1.5 billion for the first quarter ended July 1, a year-on-year increase of roughly 0.4% or 1% in constant currency.

The business, well regarded for its athletic and leisurewear lines, saw particularly strong growth in Asia (up 13%) and Europe (up 8%). North America, however, declined by 10%.

Strong sales in China notably led to a 50% rise in revenue versus the comparative period.
