New Balance Korea adds women’s fits to Active Down mix
US sports brand New Balance has released its latest Active Down apparel collection in South Korea with a seasonal campaign starring local ambassador Yuna Kim.
Figure skater Ms Kim, who retired in 2014, is perhaps best known for achieving record-high points and winning an Olympic gold medal at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
Ranging from long to cropped to lightweight, this year’s jacket line-up centres on a 700-fill-power goose down, comprising 80% down and 20% feather content. All animal-based materials used meet Responsible Down Standard requirements.
For the first time, the autumn-winter range also incorporates more womenswear-oriented fits, silhouettes and hues. The campaign tagline involves the phrasing “lightly, warmly and elegantly”, with Ms Kim emphasising “no matter what” in her role as spokesperson.
New Balance is managed by Seoul-based group E-Land in South Korea.
Descente Korea has similarly announced new technology Air Circulation Swing Down for golf jackets in recent days.
