Wilson draws a crowd with first South Korean store
Chicago-based equipment manufacturer Wilson Sporting Goods marked its South Korean brick-and-mortar debut by ringing up sales of roughly $60,200 or 80 million won within its first five days, according to local media.
The location, found inside the newly opened Starfield Suwon shopping wall in Gyeonggi, just outside Seoul, drew approximately 15,000 visitors between January 24 and 28.
Amer Sports Korea manages the brand’s domestic operations.
Wilson’s Blade v9 line of tennis racquets proved particularly popular with the “crowds” of shoppers, reports said.
