Textile Exchange updates regenerative agriculture framework
The Textile Exchange has published an updated version of its Regenerative Agriculture Outcome, which is more aligned with other frameworks.
Originally published in 2023, it has been piloted by Textile Exchange working groups for use within agricultural systems producing cotton and animal fibres, leading to refinements.
These updates include better alignment with existing frameworks; refinements to social outcomes, making them more specific, measurable and user-friendly; clearer distinctions between indicators and metrics; and expanded guidance and communication recommendations.
The framework aims to help the fashion, textile and apparel industry align on outcomes for assessing the holistic impacts of regenerative practices.
A wider stakeholder engagement process is planned for the second half of this year.
