Reju connects with Rematrix

Rematrix, a producer responsibility organisation (PRO) in Italy, and Reju, developer of a chemical textile-to-textile recycling process, owned by French engineering company Technip, have formed a partnership to secure feedstock for Reju’s Regeneration Hub in Germany.

Based in Vicenza, Rematrix works closely with Innovando, a company specialising in waste management, and various takeback, tech and traceability solutions to make a circular economy possible.

The partnership is described as combining Rematrix’s expertise in end-of-life textile collection and management with Reju’s ability to ‘regenerate’ synthetics. “This partnership lays the foundation for textile companies to evolve their business models towards a circularity that is both environmentally and economically sustainable,” stated Rematrix CEO Enrico Soffiati.
