Antex and Utexa to trial Reju ‘regenerated’ polyester

02/05/2025
Two producers of synthetic filaments, Girona-based Antex and Honduran Utexa have announced they will be working with Reju, a textile-to-textile polyester recycler owned by global engineering group Technip. In addition to validating the recycled polymers, the two companies, strategically placed one in Europe, the other in the Americas, will supply Reju brand partners with filaments as early as this October.

Utexa is a joint venture between Parkdale Mills de Honduras and other companies and serves the CAFTA region and the Americas.

“Reju’s circular polyester aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainable innovation, speed and efficiency for textile supply chains,” commented Marta Molist, head of innovation & sustainability for Antex. The company has been investigating different recycling methods for polyester waste, and is one of the few polyester filament producers in Europe.
