CiCLO under new ownership
Parkdale Advanced Materials, which worked with CiCLO to develop its technology, has announced it is acquiring the company. CiCLO has patented a special additive that reduces the persistence of synthetics. The company describes this additive as “creating pathways within the fibre that enable naturally occurring microorganisms to mineralise the polymer in biologically active environments”.
The new owner intends to develop sales in markets beyond apparel and home textiles such as nonwovens for industrial and hygiene products, geotextiles, filtration, insulation and furnishings.
Parkdale Advanced Materials specialises in spun and filament yarns. It is a part of Parkdale Inc., and is based in Gastonia, North Carolina. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
