First French Reju hub to be built in the Pyrenees
Reju has annonced the location of a textile-to-textile recycling facility in France, choosing Lacq, in the extreme southwest corner of its home country, not far from the Pau airport. The recycler, owned by engineering company Technip, will be building a ‘Regeneration Hub’ which transforms textile waste into rBHET, a component used to make polyester.

This ‘Regeneration Hub’ would be the company’s third, after Chemelot in the Netherlands and an Eastman site in the United States. Each facility is believed to cost between 300 million and 400 million euros as reported by Reuters.

This project is subject to final investment decision by the board of Technip Energies. It is expected to generate 80 direct jobs.
