Kiabi launches activewear
French mid-priced retailer Kiabi has been expanding into new markets, its newest venture is the launch of its first dedicated sportswear range ekstract. The collection is designed for the everyday athlete with a focus on inclusivity and wellness. The products are sold around €15 a piece, in line with the retailer’s positioning as a provider of accessible fashion.

The self-proclaimed family-friendly retailer has released its earnings for 2025, reporting revenues up 8% at €2.5 million. It claims to have 25 million customers across its retail network of 648 doors located in 37 countries.

Kiabi’s sustainability efforts have translated into 87% of its offering now made from “low impact materials”. In a partnership with the Organic Cotton Accelerator, it said that it has secured access to organic and regenerative cotton provided by 24,000 farmers. It is also favouring monomaterial content, and recycled polyester in its ranges.

Circularity is central to the company’s strategy. The group recently joined the Denim Deal, has set up a peer-to-peer resale platform called Beebs and installed collecting bins in its stores.

In addition to an updated logo, it has released a new Kiabi app that was downloaded 3 million times, it said. A new retail format, with spaces designed for families, was pilot tested in 2025 and will be progressively rolled out in 2026.
