Boss ushers in degradable polyester
Boss-backed tennis players, such as Taylor Fritz and Matteo Berrettini, will be sporting kits made from a novel recycled polyester at the Australian Open. A textile-to-textile recycled polyester yarn developed by Jiaren Chemical Recycling and NBC LLC, NovaPoly contains a special additive that will accelerate degradation in specific conditions, namely anaerobic industrial composting facilities. 

Made from the chemical recycling of post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste, NovaPoly is the second next-gen fibre, after HeiQ’s AeoniQ, to be backed by the German fashion brand as part of its The Change initiative. 

Boss products made from NovaPoly yarn will be available online, in Boss stores, and at select retail partners starting this month.
