Scottish textile firm picks Schoeller boss’s brain

Tom Weinbender, president of Schoeller USA, will lend his experience to Scottish textile company Halley Stevensons as he takes on an additional role as adviser.

Mr Weinbender has been with Schoeller for 34 years and president of Schoeller USA for 21 years.

He said: “Halley Stevensons, like Schoeller, is an authentic high-quality supplier which works hand-in hand with its customers to provide the perfect textile solutions that work for today’s trends as well as for heritage pieces."

Schoeller was founded in 1867 in Switzerland and Haley Stevensons was founded in 1864 in Scotland. 

Martin Wigglesworth, CEO of Halley Stevensons also sees nothing but a positive boost to business in North America, added:  “His many years of know-how is a perfect complement to our business.”
