Hyperlight Mountain Gear, maker of cuben fibre tents and backpacks, is raising funds to help rebuild a Nepalese village that was destroyed in an earthquake in April that claimed more than 9,000 lives.

"Because Beding is so remote and small, we are afraid it will be overlooked," said HMG ambassador Bud Martin, who is working with his alpine climbing partner Nicholas Frazee to raise awareness.

"We know most of the villagers are still without homes. Their schools and places of worship are all destroyed, and they've lost their sources of income."

The pair they are travelling to the village and aim to raise $50,000. More information can be found on the HMG blog.
