Columbia continues record run with Q3 sales up 14%
Columbia Sportswear has reported record sales for the third quarter, $767.6 million – 14% higher than the same period last year.

This included double-digit sales increases from each of the company's brands, 25% growth in North America and double-digit growth in Europe.

Net sales for first nine months of 2015 increased 14% to record $1.7 billion.

Columbia brand sales increased 10% to $609.7 million. Sorel sales increased 48% to $86.2 million.  Yoga brand prAna sales increased 22% to $34.4 million, and Mountain Hardwear sales increased 12% to $34.8 million.

Group CEO Tim Boyle said: “Better supply chain execution resulted in more timely delivery of wholesale customers' Fall advance orders, which has enabled them to benefit from increased sell-through volumes thus far in the season. The Columbia brand also continued to demonstrate its resurgence in Europe-direct markets, posting mid-20% constant-currency growth in that important region during the quarter.

"Our record third quarter and year-to-date results illustrate the increasing earnings power of our brand portfolio. We believe we are only beginning to unlock the long-term potential of our portfolio of brands.”
