Sportswear giant Nike has announced a series of changes within its management structure with Converse president and CEO Jim Calhoun leaving the company.

Davide Grasso, formerly Nike’s chief marketing officer, will replace Mr Calhoun, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.

Michal Spillane, vice president and general manager of footwear, is to be the new president of product and merchandising, a role formerly held by Jeanne Jackson, who will now take on an advisory role with Nike president CEO Mark Parker.

“We are fortunate to have built a strong and deep bench of talent across our organization,” Parker, said in a statement. “As we move forward to deliver our long-term goals, the leadership changes we are announcing today will help us to continue to drive growth around the world.”
