Bluesign approval for Microban odour capture treatment

Antimicrobial specialist Microban has received approval from certification group Bluesign Technologies for its Scentry BC100 odour capture treatment for textiles.

Scentry BC100 is a non-antimicrobial solution that absorbs body odour caused by organic chemical compounds, in clothing and footwear made from polyester, spandex, nylon and synthetic blends.

The solution is applied to the fabric during manufacturing and forms a protective barrier that traps body odours and release them during washing. Microban says it captures more than 90% of odours, even after more than 50 typical washes, which extends the life of the product.
