Oeko-Tex certification for two Microban products

The company has explained that to receive this accreditation both technologies had to undergo a three-stage verification process to assess whether the chemical products and their ingredients meet specific requirements related to sustainability, safety and compliance with statutory regulations.
Scentry was Microban’s first odour capture product for apparel and footwear. A non-microbial solution, it absorbs body odours caused by organic chemical compounds in clothing and footwear made from polyester, spandex, nylon and synthetic blends.
The treatment is applied to the fabric during the manufacturing process and forms a protective barrier that traps body odours and ‘regenerates’ itself by releasing them during washing. Microban has said Scentry has been proven to capture more than 90% of odours, even after more than 50 wash cycles.
Microban introduced Scentry Revive at the Performance Days exhibition in Munich in April.
