Microban ushers in new anti-odour solution
Microban is introducing a new anti-odour solution at ispo. The patent-pending finish, called Freshology, is said to meet GB/T 33610 and ISO 17299 testing standards for four common unpleasant smells: ammonia, acetic acid, isovaleric acid and nonenal.

The non-biocidal solution is not based on heavy metals, the company said, but rather captures odours that are released when clothes are laundered.

Freshology can be applied to synthetic fabrics made from polyester, nylon, spandex or blends. Microban expects to achieve Oekotex and Bluesign certification for this new finish.
