Invista brings cool denim to Amsterdam show

The material is intended for summer clothing as it offers good breathability and moisture wicking, meaning the wearer feels cool and dry. It is made from 97% recycled materials, principally plastic bottles.
According to Invista, it recently carried out a study of 1,500 men and women, the results of which showed that 75% on them wanted a pair of jeans that helped them stay cool in warm weather.
“Studies show that consumers are increasingly looking for extra benefits from their jeans, such as coolness,” said Jean Hegedus, Invista’s global director for denim.
