Taiwan Textile Federation eyes India

25/11/2016
The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) is aiming to export textiles worth around $500 million to India in the next five years, Indian media reports.

The figures were attributed to Sean Tsai, overseas market development officer at the TTF.

Mr Tsai described India as a “very dynamic market with lots of potential and scope for Taiwanese companies”. He added that the TTF is focusing on new business opportunities in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, where he said there is an increasing demand.

He made the comments at a buyer-seller meeting organised by the TTF and the Taiwanese Bureau of Foreign trade in Mumbai. It gave Taiwanese companies the opportunity to display yarns, fabrics, trimmings and accessories to Indian apparel importers, fashion brands and retailers.
