Euratex aims to digitalise fashion supply chain
20/01/2017
The project, called eBIZ 4.0, will principally be targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), from manufacturers to retailers. The goal is to give these companies access to the same digital tools as large fashion businesses so that they can improve their process management and better connect with suppliers and customers.
Euratex says the solutions developed as part of the project will be available to at least 100 companies, including textile, clothing and footwar producers. It will allow them to improve traceability through the use of RFID and NFC tags, reduce their time to market, better manage their stock and warehouse, and exchange data digitally with other parts of the supply chain.
eBiz 4.0 counts on the support of a various European IT companies that specialise in the fashion value chain, such as Schaeffer Productique from France, Kyklos from Italy and CLAVEi from Spain. The project will run for 24 months with an overall budget of €1.5 million.
