Double award celebration for Vaude

German outdoor company Vaude has two reasons to celebrate, scooping a European award for sustainability while CEO Antje von Dewitz received an Order of Merit from the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Vaude was recognised as one of the 11 best European companies from 33,000 at the European Business Awards in Dubrovnik, Croatia, recognising its alignment with ecological and social business practices.

Ms von Dewitz said: "This award shows that with our holistic concept of environmental protection and sustainability, we are sending important signals far beyond our industry."

She also received the Order of Merit from the German state’s Minister President, Winfried Kretschmann. Judges for the commendation said she has a sustainable, fair and environmentally friendly business approach.
