Canada-based Lululemon has bought a minority stake in high performance cycling apparel company 7mesh Industries, which is based close to its headquarters in Vancouver.

Lululemon, which is more typically associated with yogawear products, explained it has formed this partnership to “co-create and push the boundaries in advanced technical apparel”.

It added that it would combine the expertise of its research and development team with 7mesh’s “technical apparel expertise” to create new products.

According to US media report, the companies aim to have an initial line of products in stores by the middle of 2018.
