Timberland employees are still giving back 25 years on
Outdoor brand Timberland is celebrating 25 years of its ‘Path of Service’ initiative, which has seen its employees volunteer thousands of hours of their time to projects and organisations around the world.

The programme was created in 1992 as a way of giving employees paid time to serve their communities. It started with 16 hours, but employees are now offered up to 40 hours of paid time to serve.

To mark the anniversary, Timberland is engaging in volunteer events around the globe, which will see it work to protect and restore the outdoors and support the communities where it does business. It will lead various initiatives throughout August, September and October, including its annual Serv-a-palooza event.

The brand is also encouraging its customers to participate through a partnership with VolunteerMatch.org. They can use the site to find volunteer opportunities in their own communities.
