The Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) has added Virgile Caillet, director general of French industry association Union Sport & Cycle, to its list of board members.

The appointment was made at FESI’s general assembly on January 29, when Mr Caillet was also named vice president of the executive committee. In this role, he succeeds Michel Zany, former president of the French Sporting Goods Federation. 

FESI president, Frank Dassler, thanked Mr Zany for his “valuable contribution” to the sporting goods industries in France and in Europe and described Mr Caillet as “a worthy successor with great experience and a proven track record”.
