Snow Show “will not separate from Outdoor Retailer”

The first edition of the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show, which took place in Denver from January 25-28, “exceeded expectations”, according to the president of SnowSports Industries America (SIA), Nick Sargent.

He said he had heard positive comments from retailers and suppliers about busy exhibitor booths, packed aisles, innovative new products and full appointment books.

“Most importantly, I left the show with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and optimism for what the future holds,” Mr Sargent added. “The energy and excitement in Denver was palpable and seeing first-hand how our community embraced our friends from the outdoor industry was truly inspiring.”

Mr Sargent also used his monthly letter to SIA members to clarify some of the issues he had overheard being discussed during the show in Denver.

He reiterated that the 2019 Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show will take place from January 8-11, 2019 and that these dates are not open for change.

He also insisted that the Snow Show will not be separating from Outdoor Retailer. “SIA sold the show to Emerald and the new combined OR + Snow Show will continue well into the future,” he said.
