Isbjörn to use PrimaLoft’s new 100% PCR insulation
Outdoor children’s clothing brand Isbjörn is among the earlier adopters of new insulation made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content from high-performance insulation materials developer PrimaLoft.

The Swedish brand will incorporate PrimaLoft’s Black Insulation 100% PCR into its Autumn-Winter 2018/19 collection. Products to feature the insulation will include the Frost lightweight jacket and jumpsuit, and the new Stroller bag.

PrimaLoft and Isbjörn (the name means ‘Polar Bear’ in Swedish) have been partners for a number of years.

At the time of the announcement, Maria Frykman Forsberg, founder and CEO of Isbjörn, said: “As we strive to make our products as sustainable as possible without any impact on technical performance, our collaboration with PrimaLoft is integral to our future ranges, designed to equip the adventurers of tomorrow.  As soon as we heard about the new 100% recycled insulation, we had to incorporate it into our collection as soon as possible.”

For his part, Jochen Lagemann, managing director for PrimaLoft Europe & Asia, added: “As with many of our brand partners, Isbjörn of Sweden shares our values of sustainability and product quality and durability.  It’s important to pass on these values to a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts.”
