Odour control technology provider Polygiene has added sustainable textiles expert Dr Pamela Ravasio to its advisory board. The board’s role is to advise the company’s chief executive on topics that are relevant to its business.

Dr Ravasio was previously corporate social responsibility and sustainability manager for the European Outdoor Group (EOG), a role she held for more than four years. She has also served on the advisory board of Textile Exchange and was chair of the sustainability committee of the Federation of European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI).

Announcing the appointment, Polygiene CEO, Ulrika Björk, said: “With a background in CSR and sustainability Pamela Ravasio covers many areas that are important for Polygiene. She will be a very welcome member to our advisory board. Since we have sharpened our strategy, and included a much stronger focus on sustainability, the timing is perfect for her to step in. I look forward to sharing fresh perspectives, strategic thinking and industry insights.”

For her part, Dr Ravasio described Polygiene’s “impact and innovation vision” as “unique in the outdoor and textile industry” and said she looked forward to helping the company implement this vision.
