Dula’s swimwear is made from Vita by Carvico which uses Econyl regenerated nylon, and 1% of each sale will be donated to Healthy Seas.
Dula founder Mao Shizuka said: “Healthy Seas’ mission to collect waste and to turn it into a valuable resource caught our eyes. We were inspired by the beautiful blue water in the Philippines and wanted to do something to help them stay this way and not polluted with plastic waste.”
Around 400kg of nets have recently been recovered from the seabed by a team of volunteer divers from Ghost Diving Greece.
Healthy Seas has also been invited to become a nominator for The Earthshot Prize. “We have been selected for our ability to identify the most impactful solutions across all sectors, from grassroots to businesses,” said a spokesperson.
