Byborre unveils outdoors-inspired Edition9 materials
Amsterdam-based, self-described “textile innovation studio”, Byborre, which specialises in “material development, functionality and aesthetics through engineered knits”, has unveiled its outdoors-inspired Edition9 line, set to release autumn 2021.
Seeking inspiration outside of the home (motivated by the worldwide restrictions imposed by covid-19), the collection explores how Byborre’s knits could be constructed and adapted for performance in the natural world, the brand described on social media.
The “technical” collection therefore drew design inspiration from mossy bark, wet moss and dry grass, Byborre said. Four new knit innovations across three different fabric types and weights will be introduced.
