Fjällräven takes Sweden’s sustainability top spot
Örnsköldsvik, Sweden-headquartered outdoor brand Fjällräven has been named the top sustainable enterprise in the clothing and fashion brand category by Swedish consumers in the country’s Sustainable brand index report, the largest survey of its kind in Europe.
A total of 61,960 consumers were consulted regarding 1,437 brands operating in eight markets (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden).
Overall, Fjällräven ranked twenty-first in the study, closely followed by Haglöfs at number 27. The next three brands in the category, The North Face, Houdini and Nike, were respectively ranked number 125, 133 and 151 overall.
Fjällräven’s sustainability manager, Christiane Dolva Törnberg, said: “This is a reward for our commitment to further development. Sustainability is a core component of everything we do, and it is very rewarding to learn that consumers are aware of our efforts to put our beliefs into practice.”
