Organisers of 2021’s iteration of the Shanghai International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex), which takes place every other year in the south-eastern Chinese city, have announced plans to transform this year’s event into a hybrid, online-offline trade exhibition.

Scheduled to take place between November 23 and 26, the four-day fair has been branded “Textech Inno Week” and, as before, will specialise in showcasing new materials and technologies for the textile and fashion industries.

In-person events will still be held in Shanghai, but exhibitors will also be invited to present their offerings via the show’s official website.

2019 reportedly saw more than 65,000 visitors from around 95 countries meet with over 1,200 exhibitors. Following this year’s event, the next edition of the exhibition will take place from November 22 through 25, 2023.
