Doors open to Uniqlo’s first Beijing flagship
Japanese retailer Uniqlo, a subsidiary of Yamaguchi-headquartered Fast Retailing, recently opened a new global flagship location in Beijing’s Sanlitun district, its first in the capital but third in China overall.

Executive officer of Fast Retailing and chief marketing officer for Uniqlo Greater China, Jalin Wu, commented: “We are focused on the Chinese market. We aim to open 100 stores in the country a year and to expand in regional cities as well.”

Having been present in the country for around 30 years, the casualwear company today operates more than 850 stores across roughly 180 Chinese cities. According to the brand, it is responsible for providing approximately 1 million jobs up and down its supply chain in China.
