PrimaLoft publishes first Relentlessly Responsible report
Insulation maker PrimaLoft has published its first Relentlessly Responsible Report, in which it shows that using recycled materials instead of virgin polyester in 2021 led to a CO2 reduction of 66% and saved more than 6.4 million kilograms of CO2.
The report highlights achievements in recent years, which include its collaboration with Origin Materials, producing its first carbon-negative polyester fibre.
The company aims to have garment prototypes ready for 2023.
Mike Joyce, CEO of PrimaLoft, said: “Over the last five years, our cultural belief of innovation, sustainability, and performance has become a purpose statement to unleash the full potential of people, products and the planet, together in harmony. While no one can solve the issues facing our planet alone, every bit helps.”
