Anta flagship brings Paris to Beijing ahead of 2024 Games
In a nod to next summer’s Olympic Games (Paris 2024), the design of a new Beijing flagship by Chinese sports brand Anta combines structural elements inspired by both the city's historic Deshengmen gate and the Arc de Triomphe in France's capital.
Expected to open its doors towards the end of this month, the three-story boutique has a total footprint of over 500 square-metres and is situated along Beijing’s Wangfujing shopping street. It has been built according to Anta’s newly announced tier system, which specifies a five-level hierarchy for retail stores: arena, palace, elite, standard and basic.
Local media said the location is expected to be representative of Anta’s ‘palace-level’ criteria.
Earlier in October, Anta told investors that its ‘tiered’ retail store differentiation plans will allow it to strategically, yet flexibly, meet the diverse needs of China’s 1.4 billion-strong population.
