Anta celebrates first Chinese concept boutique
Doors have opened to China-based sports company Anta’s first-ever domestic concept store inside the Heshenghui shopping mall in Beijing.
The brand's eponymous owner brought in roughly $4 billion or ¥29.6 billion for the first six months ended June 30. Its headquarters on the Chinese mainland are situated in the country’s south-eastern Fujian province.
Promoted under the theme Sneaker Verse, the boutique’s merchandising spotlights athletic footwear, with a special emphasis on basketball shoes. Key highlights include Dallas Mavericks player Kyrie Irving’s latest Anta-made C202 and Shock Wave 5 Pro designs, in addition to articles from Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson’s new, collaborative label KT9.
Mr Thompson, who attended the launch event in-person late last month, was in China as part of an Anta-facilitated tour of Asia alongside teammate Kevon Looney.
Their stops included Shanghai, Chengdu, Xiamen and the city of Manila in the Philippines.
