Rab’s newest gloves use Gore’s ePE exclusively

Equip-owned Rab has become the latest to design Gore-Tex’s ePE membranes into waterproof gloves for winter sports, replacing its use of the previous membrane in both new and existing glove ranges.

The move means the British outdoor brand follows in the footsteps of Reusch, Dakine and more.

First announced in 2021, Gore’s ePE membrane is notable for being free of what its developer calls fluorocarbons of environmental concern (PFCec).

Rab has incorporated the membrane as a glove insert across its entire autumn-winter collection this season, also using it in its Namche GTX jacket. The company already plans to use the material in next year’s Khroma Converge ski jacket and pants.

Its latest glove, the Khroma Tour GTX, is made with Armor-Tan leather from Pittards, packed with recycled PrimaLoft Gold insulation. The ePE membrane forms part of a three-layer Gore-Tex Active laminate.
