The new resources will enable the company to scale up R&D into its ClarosTech process that destroys PFAS in wastewater using a UV-photochemical method. It is based on initial technical research at the University of Minnesota. The company also makes biobased textile additives that offer antiviral, antibacterial and anti-odour properties as well as UV-protection.
Tested by third-party laboratories, ClarosTech has been found to achieve a 99.99% destruction and defluorination of all types of PFAS including long, short and ultra-short chain PFAS, the company says.
